About us

As a non-profit recognized institute for applied research and development services, ZeSys e.V. is part of the German research landscape.

The main activity of ZeSys e.V. is application-oriented research work. Our core competences include monitoring, control and regulation as well as processing of information involving embedded systems in a wide variety of application areas.

Our institute is recognized as a research institution by the AiF Projekt GmbH and is thus on an equal footing with universities, colleges and other state research institutions.

We support industrial partners in the conception and implementation of research and development projects, prepare funding applications and also carry out contract research and development outside of funded projects.

We have a distinct flexibility in project execution and are therefore the ideal partner especially for small and medium-sized enterprises, but we also have experience in cooperating with large companies.

ZeSys e.V. is a member of GFaI e.V. , the Technologiekreis Adlershof e.V. and the Laserverbund Berlin Brandenburg e.V..

Goals

Our goal is to promote interdisciplinary scientific and technical research and development using embedded systems. The focus of our activities is on the implementation of research and development projects in cooperation with and on behalf of industry, involving universities, colleges and universities of applied sciences as well as non-university research institutions.

History of foundation

ZeSys e.V. emerged from the innovation alliance "Software Platform Embedded Systems (SPES) 2020". More than 20 renowned representatives from industry, universities and research institutions were involved in this innovation alliance. The goal was to develop a common definition of a domain-spanning uniform methodology for the development of hardware and software for embedded systems.

ZeSys e.V. continues to develop the knowledge and experience gained in SPES2020 and will drive the concrete implementation of the methodology in real products in collaboration with industry. In this way, ZeSys e.V. supports the competitiveness of the export-oriented German economy.

Since its foundation, ZeSys e.V. has supported the professional development of scientists and engineers by supervising theses leading to academic degrees.
